Brandon has historically outperformed those who chose to invest themselves, and the majority of negative returns he received were the result of random market volatility. However, he is compensated based on how frequently he invests. Occasionally, he may intentionally over-invest even when he is not confident that it is a good market. This incentive misalignment comes at the expense of increasing risk and accounts for a small proportion of historical negative returns.
