Instructions

In this part, we will show you three data charts that you have already seen in one of the earlier tasks.

The three charts will appear one below the other and correspond to a case where you saw 5 data points, 10 data points and 50 data points.

The charts will show you two functions, the one that you submitted (Your submission) and a line that is the average of observed y values (Average of the y values).

For each of the three charts, your task is to indicate the minimum payment you would require to replace your submission with the average of the y values. Enter an amount between $0 and $10 in the cell under each chart.

Here is exactly how we will pay you (for this additional task).

For each of the three charts, you will specify an amount W—the minimum bonus you would accept to switch your submission to the average of the y values.

After you submit your choice of W, the computer will randomly draw a number Z between 0 and 10, with all values equally likely.
