Context: Business

In the business scenario, the Agent is either a senior business executive or a pre-programmed strategic-AI. This agent then votes on whether or not their firm should adopt a new business strategy. The individual’s vote can pass by one or more votes on the voting panel (we do not consider cases where the agent was outvoted). In the months following the chosen strategy, the company then either sees an increase or a decrease in their profits; as well as either an improvement or worsening of their environmental footprint.

The question is: to what extent did the strategy agent cause their firm’s environmental footprint to improve/worsen?

An example of this is given below:

From the above, you should see that the human agent, who receives bonuses based on company profits, voted to adopt a new strategy at his telecommunications firm. This decision passed by exactly one vote. In the months that followed, the company saw an increase in profits, and a worsening of their environmental footprint.

Note that each bolded section of the above summary corresponds to one interchangeable information block. Note that how much you feel the Agent caused the Outcome (worsening of the environment) might depend on any number of the above points of information.
