Getting antsy waiting for the debut of The Walking Dead on AMC? Well, you're just gonna have to keep on waiting until October, fanboys, but in the meantime, the network has something that might calm your zombie-loving urges.

Announced today -- just in time for San Diego Comic-Con -- AMC is offering the first ever Walking Dead motion comic, exclusively on their website, AMCTV.com. While those of you who have read the epic horror series will recognize it as the first 13 pages of the original book, for fans wondering what all the hubbub is all about, it's a perfect introduction. The motion comic was produced by Jake Strider Hughes -- who also produced DC's Watchmen motion comic -- and features the vocal talents of Futurama's Phil Lamarr.

The Walking Dead is set to premiere this October during AMC's annual Fearfest, and stars Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes.
