The Comic: Rick's had to do his fair share of awful things in order to stay alive protecting the ones he loves, but never so early into his career as a zombie killer did he have to shoot a child.
Brought To Life: The opening scene that sets the tone for the entire series, Rick's tense effort to retrieve some gas from a local station stumbles upon a young girl clutching a teddy bear. That is, until she turns around, has half her face removed, and promptly receives a bullet to the brain.
