Created by sci-fi favorite J.J. Abrams, the TV series Undercovers will be a comedic take on the spy genre. Part Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Undercovers follows the lives of a retired husband-and-wife team of CIA agents who find themsevles suddenly back in service. Abrams confirmed that the emphasis will be on characters and the personal aspect of being a spy, rather than being heavy on mythos and mythology like his other production, Fringe.
