Who needs X-Men: First Class when we've got a whole new generation of anime to Marvel over?

In addition to the Iron Man and Wolverine properties we've glimpsed at previous Comic-Cons, the Japanese TV Network Animax has given us our first look at Madhouse Studios' character designs for its upcoming X-Men anime, which features the line-up of Beast, Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Armor (who rest assured, does exist in the comics) and the main man Professor X himself.

The series, written by comic scribe Warren Ellis and drawing inspiration from both New X-Men and Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men, will also feature Emma Frost and possibly Jean Grey, given its specific setting of being one year after the character's death.

The story follows Professor X as he re-bands the team when Armor goes missing in Japan, and also enlists them to fight of the menace of the U-Men, a human cult stealing mutant organs for experimentation.

X-Men marks the third anime from Madhouse studios, and while Japan will see its debut on April 1st, all four animes (including Blade) will come to G4 later this year.  Check out the image and first-look teaser below!

Isn't it cute how they made the guy in the wheelchair not shorter than the little girl?  How adorably predjudiced.
