Trudy Chacon was a pilot with SecOps, the private military branch assigned to protect the miners and scientists of the RDA from the more hostile elements of the moon Pandora. Trudy piloted an Aerospatiale SA-2 Samson - more specifically, a Samson-16, which she affectionately referred to as her "baby." Trudy was usually assigned to providing transportation for the science teams and was very fond of Dr. Grace Augustine and her colleagues. During the brutal SecOps attack on the Na'vi Hometree that left many Na'vi dead, Trudy abandoned the scene, saying she "didn't sign up for this sh**" and effectively turned herself into a traitor in the eyes of her superior, Colonel Miles Quaritch. Trudy ended up flying her Samson-16 and fighting on the side of the Na'vi during the battle over the Tree of Souls - she died a hero when she was overwhelmed by Quaritch's Dragon Gunship.
