Dirty Details Done Dirt Cheap:
Eva Green plays a heavily fictionalized version of Princess Sibylla of Jerusalem in Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven, but if revisionism looks this good, we're not going to complain about historical accuracy (or lack thereof). Sibylla was the sister of King Baldwin IV and one of the key political players in the Holy Crusades of the 12th Century. She was unhappily married to the obnoxious Guy de Lusignan and participated in an unsuccessful attempt to murder him after having an affair with one of Jerusalem's top defenders against the Muslims, Balian de Ibelin. It is also heavily implied that she poisoned her young son, Baldwin V, to spare him the leprosy that had plagued his uncle. What a complex woman!
