Philo Gant is a music industry mogul, a paranoid, corrupt entrepreneur addicted to "playback" (recorded first-person accounts of various experiences you can plug directly into your own cerebral cortex) who may or may not have been involved in the mysterious murder of controversial hip hop artist, Jeriko One. He is the current boyfriend of punk singer Faith Justin, a former prostitute and runaway previously involved with ex-cop turned street hustler Lenny Nero. Lenny still carries a torch for Faith and is prone to confronting her in public, which Gant finds more than a little annoying, often dispatching his goons to show Lenny the door - and perhaps the pavement as a P.S. Gant's also something of a philosopher, with one of his many wise musings including, "The only time a whore should open her mouth is when she's giving head." Fascinating. And yeah, he gets what he deserves in the end.
