Mo'at (whose name means "Dream Catcher") is the Tsahik, or spiritual leader of the Na'vi Omaticaya clan, a possessor of both great wisdom and a strong psychic connection to Eywa, the great Mother Goddess. Mo'at entreated her daughter, Neytiri, to teach Jake Sully in the ways of the Na'vi, and though she first disapproved of the romantic relationship that developed between the two, she soon came to realize they were perfect for each other, especially after Jake became the sixth Toruk Makto. After Na'vi ally Dr. Grace Augustine was shot by Colonel Miles Quaritch, Mo'at failed to transfer her consciousness to her avatar body before she died from her wounds - however, she was later successful with the ritual when she permanently transferred Jake's consciousness to his Na'vi form.
