Ivan Drago, also known as "The Siberian Express" and "The Siberian Bull," is a tall, powerful and near-emotionless Russian boxing champion. He is a Captain in the Red Army, a recipient of the Hero of the Soviet Union award and an Olympic Gold Medalist. Unlike Rocky Balboa's previous opponents, who were brash and outspoken, Drago rarely says a word, driven by a desire to win at all costs. He has been trained and conditioned to be the perfect warrior, wielding a punch that measures at 1850 to 2150 psi (an average boxer's punch measures 800 to 1000 psi). This punch actually killed Apollo Creed in the ring - when Apollo was rushed to the hospital after the fight, Drago simply stated, "If he dies, he dies." Drago is married to another athlete, Ludmilla Drago, an Olympic Gold Medalist in swimming. The only fight he's ever lost, amateur or professional, is the one that pitted him against the Italian Stallion.
