Virginia 'Gin' Baker is an insurance investigator whose company stands to lose $24 million due to the disappearance of a Rembrandt painting from a New York office building. Gin convinces her superiors to let her entrap the main suspect in the theft, a Scotsman by the name of MacDougal. Gin poses as an art thief herself and (apparently) convinces 'Mac' that she'll assist him in stealing a priceless Chinese mask. However, Mac proves to be more wily than Gin expected (he is played by that rascal Sean Connery, after all), and the two form an uneasy partnership that takes them to various locations around the globe, including England, Scotland and Malaysia... with a stop in a bedroom, too, of course.
