James Lang, otherwise known as 'The Southside Slugger,' hails from the mean streets of Chicago and spent most of his childhood in various orphanages and juvenile facilities. As an adult, he spent five years in prison on charges of assault, where he found boxing as a way to channel his rage. Now known as 'Clubber' Lang, he finds himself in Philadelphia, looking to take on the Heavyweight Champ himself, Rocky Balboa. Rocky's gotten soft and Clubber rather easily defeats him, becoming the new Champion. Brutal, temperamental, mean-spirited and outspoken, Clubber is quite the opponent for the Italian Stallion, who will have to train harder than he's ever trained before to get his title back in a rematch.
