Chris Kelvin was a psychologist drifting through life like a ghost, barely noticing the passers-by on the street, his fellow commuters on the train or the co-workers at his office. Haunted by the suicide of his beautiful but troubled wife, Rheya, Kelvin was ready to retreat entirely into his shell until he received a message from his colleague, Gibrarian: "Come to Solaris." When Kelvin arrived at the space station above the mysterious planet, he found that most of the crew was either dead or had mysteriously disappeared, with the survivors reluctant to give any explanation. Later that night, as Kelvin drifts off to sleep to the soothing sounds of the Cliff Martinez score... things start getting really weird.
