Robert Capa is a crew member and resident physicist of the Icarus II, a space vessel on a mission to reignite our dying Sun - a mission left incomplete by the Icarus I, which mysteriously disappeared without a trace. Capa is the mastermind behind Icarus II's massive payload: an experimental nuclear bomb the size of Manhattan, designed to explode inside the Sun and force the star to regenerate itself. Capa is something of a silent outsider, carrying most of the burden of the mission on his shoulders as he's the only one who truly understands the scope and power of the weapon - and how it's highly improbable that the mission will actually be successful.
