Adelle DeWitt is the head of the Los Angeles Dollhouse and the point of contact for any potential client interested in hiring an Active. Her sophisticated persona and cold demeanor makes for her running an extremely tight ship, but her "ice queen" exterior hides her extreme sense of loneliness - and she would rather die than reveal that loneliness to anyone. Only Alpha, the rogue Active, can make a dent in her shield. Not much is known about Adelle's life before her time in the Dollhouse, though she has mentioned that she used to cultivate human organs out of stem cells. No big deal.
