I think it'd be hard for the Fantastic Four to get anywhere at the same time - sure, one of them can fly, but the other three are a human rubber band, a hard-to-see lady and a walking pile of gravel, none of which are particularly renowned for their speediness. Thus, the scientific mind of Reed Richards constructed the Fantasti-Car, a flying machine that can tote the quartet around the Eastern seaboard (for longer jaunts, they of course use the Pogo Plane). The real gimmick of the Fantasti-Car was that it could split into four self-propelled segments so team members could do independent errands.
