After a political rally that only attracts a handful of supporters and a measly $100 endorsement check from J. Jonah Jameson, Stephen Colbert (who at the time had considered himself a Presidential hopeful) decides to hang it up. Just as he's about to have a profound moment of self-truthiness, he crosses paths with Spider-Man, who's in the middle of a thrown down with The Grizzly Bear. Colbert takes it upon himself to step in -- as bears have long been major threats in Colbert's world -- and helps Spidey put down this menace once and for all.
