Let's forget the brouhaha surrounding Michael Jackson's unexpected death. Let's forget the speculation about his, shall we say, eccentricities. And let's just remember for a moment that the guy revolutionized pop music...and, as is relevant here, music video. At a certain point, the King of Pop's videos became events, more short films than simple promotional clips, and brought to the MTV generation some staggering talents (directors included Martin Scorsese, John Singleton, David Fincher and John Landis) who crafted moments people are still recreating (we'll bet big money you've seen at least one person do the "Thriller" zombie dance this year). This package contents a complete collection of all 35 of Jackson's "short films," 10 of which have never been released on DVD, and gives them the remastering and restoring treatment so you can see them in their full glory. It's a fitting tribute to a man who helped make the music video what it was in its Golden Age.
