Pity Ted Kord - the Blue Beetle was killed off early on in Identity Crisis and seems to be one of the few superheroes who is destined to stay dead. His trademark ship, affectionately referred to as the Bug, was a prime conveyance to the Justice League during his tenure, and packed a ton of unique gadgetry, including the ability to magnetize its hull, fly at speeds of up to 600 miles an hour, and more. Best of all, it was powered primarily by solar cells - eco-friendly to the end.
