Mail-in offer toys were often used to introduce figures that might not do so well at retail. Kenner's Super Powers line, which featured the heroes and villains of the DC universe, experimented with this concept in 1986 with Clark Kent, the glasses-wearing alter ego of Superman. I guess if you really wanted to pretend to be a bumbling reporter for a newspaper, this was the action figure for you. It was never released commercially, so if you didn't send away for one you were out of luck. Like the other Super Powers figures, Clark has a spring-loaded action feature when you squeeze his legs: he waves his arms in the air like he's trying to hail a cab.
