Despite celebrating KISSmas every year, half of the original members of KISS are Jewish, leaving Peter Criss and Ace Frehley, their drummer and lead guitarist, the only gentiles in the group from 1973 to about 1980. In fact, Gene Simmons was born in Israel, and his mother is a holocaust survivor. Future members such as Bruce Kulick and Eric Singer are also of the Jewish faith. Those of the Jewish faith often refer to themselves as the "chosen ones," and any rocker can tell you that label certainly fits for the hottest band on earth!
