The Sylvers were a Memphis-born family R&B act tutored by their mother, a former opera singer. So what in God's name inspired their record company to hire demented Japanese sci-fi legend Shusei Nagaoka to create their record covers? It's great that he did, because these are balls-out crazy airbrushed masterpieces that are crammed full of futuristic detail.
