The Thing is ready to stalk theatergoers once more, this time as a prequel. Directed by Matthijs van Heijningen Jr., The Thing prequel will focus on the story of the Norwegian crew who first found the alien creature who would later be called "The Thing." Currently filming in Toronto, The Thing prequel will find release in 2011.
