Radtke: What stunts are you most and least proud of?
Steve-O: All the gay stuff, all the homoerotic, and nudity. I’m real proud of all that just because I genuinely feel it’s been a noble effort on our part to rid the world of homophobia.
Radtke: The apple in Preston’s ass was a beautiful thing
Steve-O: Sure, yeah, when we first got to MTV it was just such a hetero, teenage place so it just went against the whole demographic. I feel that prancing around in thongs and acting gay really opened up people’s minds a lot.
Radtke: Well, there’s a lot of love between the guys, and not being afraid to touch each other’s junk.
Steve-O: There was one time I kissed Chris Pontius straight on the penis.
Radtke: What tasted better: his penis or a cup of Preston’s sweat?
Steve-O: I can’t even say I was able to taste Preston’s sweat because I was vomiting before and unable to taste any of it. It’s interesting to me, because you just asked, 'What are you most proud of?’ and then you also said, 'What do you look at and say 'why did I do that?’'' and it occurred to me that it might very well be the same answer to both questions. I’m not saying that that’s definitely true, I might think 'Why did I plant a kiss on the head of Chris’s penis?' but then I come out and say that I was so proud of that because it was challenging homophobia.
