Following in the footsteps of the other Marvel Studio efforts, Iron Man 2 has an after credits scene that had us thrilled for the future. In this case, Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, crashed into Earth and created a huge crater in the southwest desert. S.H.I.E.L.D. were all over the cosmic weapon, but we know how that turns out.
