Many of the droids in the Star Wars universe have eyes, but none of them ever blink. This has always felt unrealistic to Lucas. Sadly, he blew his blinking budget on the Dianoga for the 2004 DVD release and on Ewoks for the 2011 Blu-ray. Whenever the next inevitable Star Wars changes come along, it will finally be the Droids' turn to get in on some of that blinking action. Not to be left out, R2-D2 will be given eyes so he can blink as well.
