In perhaps the first major appearance by a movie at Comic-Con, Charles Lippincott showed off a little movie called Star Wars back in 1976. Along with showing slides of the film, he played to his audience by pimping the new Star Wars comic from Marvel. Nevermind that the comic showed Darth Vader in a green helmet.
The Biggest Comic-Con Movie Panel Moments
So we won't be seeing anything from the new Superman, Batman, and Avengers movies this year. Judging by SDCC's history, we're still sure to see some awesome flicks in action.
