Paul Guinan and Anina Bennett have been in the industry a long time, most notably with their series Heartbreakers. But their Boilerplate project, which chronicles the adventures of a lumbering 19th century robot, has catapulted them to a new level of fame. The book, which was just picked up by J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot production company to be turned into a feature film, follows the intrepid steampunk android through a century of adventures. Here, he fights alongside Teddy Roosevelt and explores the South Pole. Paramount is the studio behind it, so expect this to be a big deal.
