Stan Lee is a name that will always command attention – the co-creator of most of Marvel’s iconic characters is virtually synonymous with superhero comics. So when it was announced that he would be teaming with superstar artist Todd MacFarlane on a new project, the world took notice. Things got weird when the third collaborator was announced – Yoshiki, the primary creative force behind insanely popular Japanese “visual kei” rock band X Japan. This has something for everybody – old-school guys are in for Lee, modern fans for Todd, and weeaboos for Yoshiki – and there was a lot of buzz about it at the show.
