Here's another scene that's not in the book but could use a little explication. The Avox are the outcasts of this future world, people who have been punished for rebelling against the Capitol by having their tongues cut out and forced into a life of involuntary servitude. Katniss tells a story about encountering two people trying to escape in the woods around District 12 and seeing them captured by Capitol forces, and later on we meet one of them again, the woman Lavinia. This stylish clip dramatizes that first chase.
