There are a wide variety of horror franchises that are worthy of your attention, and you really can't go wrong with box sets that sum them up in one convenient package. It was a tough call on whether to include the Friday the 13th series or the Nightmare On Elm Street series, but Freddy Krueger won out, simply because of the ridiculous range of the movies contained therein. From the first Nightmare, which still shocks today with unexpected gore and nervous tension, to the Dream Warriors era that was more goofy than scary and back to the reinvention of New Nightmare, these are movies that bear repeat watchings.
