The postapocalyptic film that shook both Japan and the U.S., Akira, is getting a remake. First hitting screens in 1988, Akira was itself based upon a manga that clocked in at over 2,000 pages long. Though no details are available on what's in store for the remake, the possibilities are enough to make us excited.
