Yes, ice dancing is considered a sport. Live with it. The comely Tanith Belbin started skating at the age of three (not uncommon for Canadians) and ice dancing at eight or nine. She moved to Detroit in 1998 and met skater Benjamin Agosto, who would become her long-term partner. The pair found tremendous success, most notably winning a silver medal at the 2006 Turin olympics, becoming the first American ice dancers to take home a medal in thirty years. She retired from competition in 2010 but continues to skate in exhibitions.
