The Statue To Meridia has a fitting name and is located just west of Solitude. It's not called "the statue of Meridia" or "Meridia's Shrine" for a reason. This statue literally takes you to Meridia, the Daedric Prince of Life. You are propelled thousands of feet in the air, above the mountains and clouds of Skyrim, to speak with Meridia. While floating high above the world, you can look around and see Skyrim stretch out for as far as the eye can see.
While you're taking in the scenery, Meridia mumbles something about dead things in her ruins. If you kill them, you get one of the coolest looking swords ever, the Dawnbreaker. Plus, it's always better to be on the good side of a daedric prince .
