"Now ain't this a surprise," is a little vague. Is the bandit referring to a horse traveling across a log, the fact that this adventurer found her in the middle of nowhere, or that anyone, besides her, would decide that setting up a base camp over a waterfall would be a good idea?
The correct answer doesn't matter. Just push her off and dive in after her. At this point, it makes more sense than any of your other choices.
