One of the most perplexing developments in Transformers history came courtesy of Japan, where the Takara corporation still holds the reins over the toy line's future. In 2006, they introduced the "Kiss Players," a strategy to get ladies into Transformers collecting by pairing them with little plastic figurines of anime girls. In the storyline, these ladies were each partnered with an Autobot, and when the big robot found the forces of evil too tough, they could get a kiss from the underage girl and it would power them up to battle harder. If Rosie Huntington-Whitley plants one on Optimus Prime and he gets a justice boner, you'll know that Bay is a Kiss Players fan.
