So Paul Cornell is getting the props he deserves now that DC snapped him up for Action Comics, but he was kicking all kinds of ass over at Marvel with his sadly short-lived Captain Britain And MI:13. The book, canned after 15 issues, followed the adventures of a British team of government operatives as they protect the Motherland from a variety of threats. It really came into its own in the third arc, Vampire State, where Dracula leads his army of vampires from his fortress on the dark side of the Moon (I love comics!) in an assault on England. It was an awesome comic where people actually did heroic and cool stuff, and I wish there was more of it.
