Compile AutoCAD SHX Fonts

Create compiled fonts from AutoCAD SHX fonts, to be used within ACE.  (Windows only)

If you require a font style that is not part of the distribution, you may create and compile your own font files that can be used anywhere in ACE.  You may create a compiled font file are based off of any TrueType font currently loaded on your system.

 

documentNote: Even though these fonts can only be created on the Windows Platform, once they are compiled and saved into your /fonts folder, they may be distributed and used on any other platform (ie. Linux, Solaris, etc).

 

To create a compiled font file, please perform the following:

 

Command Sequence

 

1. Select SHX Font file.  Find the location of the AutoCAD shx font file you wish to use.

 

2. Select OK.  The compiled font will be created, and placed into your ACE/fonts folder.

 

documentNote: You are now ready to use that font during any conversion.
