Working With Formatters

In the Data view, you can do the following with formatters:

Option	Description	To
Connect\Disconnect	Connects or disconnects all data sources from the UI files to which they are bound. This allows you to stop the data sources from serving data to the UI file, while leaving the data sources bound to it. The data sources can again serve data to the UI file once you select connect.	Click $image\img00275.gif$ to connect all data sources. Click $image\img00276.gif$ to disconnect from all data sources.
Create Formatter	Launches the Create Formatter wizard to create a formatter to format raw data before display in the UI.	Right click the Data view or Visual Editor and select New > Formatter.
Create Formatter Chain	Launches the Create Formatter wizard to create a chain of formatters that format raw data before display in the UI.	Right click the Data view or Visual Editor and select New > Formatter Chain.
Collapse All	Expand or collapse all data sources listed under the Data Sources node.	Click $image\img00277.gif$ to collapse all nodes in the Data view.
