Prior to using the TCP/IP Monitor application, you must configure the TCP/IP monitor.
You can configure the monitor from the:
TCP/IP Monitor view
Preferences menu
To configure the TCP/IP monitor, follow these steps:
1. To access the TCP/IP Monitor configuration dialog either:
From TCP/IP Monitor view
Select Window > Show View > TCP/IP Monitor
The TCP/IP Monitor view opens
Right click in the TCP/IP Monitor view and select Properties
From Preferences menu
Select Window > Preferences.
The Preferences dialog appears.
Click + to expand Run/Debug.
Click TCP/IP Monitor.
The TCP/IP Monitor configuration dialog appears.

Note: If monitors already exist in the TCP/IP Monitors list, select the one showing 4444 as the local host, click Start and then click OK. Go on to the next section, Start the TCP/IP Monitor.
2. To add a monitor, click Add.
The New Monitor dialog appears.
3. Complete the New Monitor dialog as follows:

Local monitoring port: Specify 4444 as the local monitoring port. Host name: Specify localhost as the host name. Port: Specify 8080 as the port. Type: Specify TCP/IP as type. |
4. Click OK to close the New Monitor dialog.
The monitor you added appears in the TCP/IP Monitors list on the TCP/IP Monitor dialog.
5. Select the monitor that you added and click Start.
The monitor appears with a status of Started.
6. Click OK to close the TCP/IP Monitor configuration dialog.
This completes the TCP/IP monitor configuration.
