Configuring Desktop Client Launch Settings

During development, when you run the client, studio creates a skeleton desktop client image located in the .desktop-workspace directory of the project that you launch. Once Studio creates the directory, Studio launches the desktop client from that location to simulate actual desktop deployment. You can configure desktop client launch settings to specify:

Clearing the desktop workspace directory before launching simulates launching an application from a clean installation.

To configure desktop client launch settings, follow these steps:

1 Select Run > Nexaweb Desktop Application > Run > Configure Client Launch Settings,

Or

Click

The
Create, manage, run configurations dialog appears.

2. Double click on Nexaweb Desktop Client and/or click + beside it to expand it.

3. Click New Configuration.
Desktop client workspace fields appear.

Name: Specify a name for this configuration.

Desktop client workspace: Optionally, specify the directory in which to store your desktop client during development, if you want to use a directory other than the default desktop.workspace.

Clear workspace data before launching: Click this checkbox for Studio to automatically clear workspace data before launching the desktop client.

Ask for confirmation before clearing: Click this checkbox for Studio to prompt you to clear workspace data before launching the desktop client.

4. Click Apply.
A configuration with the name that you specified appears beneath Nexaweb Desktop Client.

5. Click Close.
