Adding Attributes and Attribute Values

To define styles, you specify attributes and attribute values for states associated with a component that Nexaweb applies to that component when that component is in that state.

To add attributes and attribute values to a style, follow these steps:

1. Select a state for a style.

2. Select attributes for the type of component to which this style applies:

  1. Click + beside the type of component to which this style applies in the UI Components selection box.
    A list of attributes associated with this component type appears.

  2. Double click on an attribute which you want to add to the style definition.
    A check mark appears beside the attribute in the
    UI Components selection box and the attribute name appears in the Style Attributes list similar to Figure 19.

  1. Enter an attribute name in the Attribute field below the UI Components selection box.

  2. Click Add.
    The attribute name appears in the
    Style Attributes list similar to Figure 19.

3. Click in the Value field beside the attribute name in the Style Attributes list.
If the selected attribute has a defined type, a picklist appears in the
Value field for you to select a valid value.

therwise, you can enter any appropriate string or integer, whichever it accepts. See the Nexaweb platform locally installed XML UI documentation for descriptions of the available component attributes.

4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to add all of the attributes you want to specify for this state of this component.

5. Add additional states to the style and repeat Steps 2 and 3 to add all of the attributes you want to specify for this state of each those components as well.

To remove an attribute, select an attribute in the Style Attributes list and click Delete.
