The Aspen Institute is an educational and policy studies organization based in Washington, DC.Our mission is to foster leadership based on enduring values and provide a nonpartisan venue for dealing with critical issues.
The Environmental Leaders Programme aims to support the development of current and future leaders for the environment. The programme has been developed in line with the environmental and socio-economic policy framework of South Africa in moving towards a more people-centred approach to environmental management, conservation and equitable as well as sustainable resource use and management. We support emerging environmental leaders to develop the technical, relational and transformational competence to address the complex, interlinked social and environmental challenges that confront the South African development state. One Planet Leaders Programme The One Planet Leaders Programme in Africa is an initiative of WWF South Africa and the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business.
The Graduate Development Programme supports university students and graduates to bridge the gap between academia and the world of work, through internship placements, supporting work integrated learning and university based career guidance. Leadership Development is addressed through the offering of the One Planet Leaders Programme in Africa, in partnership with the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business, to enable a collective conversation between government, business, industry and civil society to lead change through sustainability innovations. Partnerships The Environmental Leaders Programme recognises that the complex task of equally fostering social, ecological and economic integrity requires collaboration across various organizations, sectors and stakeholder groups. The British Council is excited to announce the establishment of the Leadership Exchange Programme (LEP).

The Leadership Exchange Programme (LEP), which falls under British Council’s Skills for Employability (SfE) programme, is one of the initiatives designed to enhance well-functioning colleges.
Drawing on British Council’s Skills for Employability programme to enhance employability; the LEP realizes that the success of TVET Colleges is largely dependent on effective and quality leadership.
Year after year, for the past 12years, Boxer Superstores brings their annual five day adventure and skills development programme to the youth of South Africa. The 2015 Boxer Youth Leadership Programme sees a third partnership, making it even better for those who will attend this year. This includes addressing demographic representivity of all South Africans in ecosystem management - a movement away from traditional protectionist to more inclusive approaches to securing our ecological assets and ecosystems. The programme works in association with a number of environment and other organisations, both locally, regionally and globally to offer skills, professional and leadership development initiatives for new entrants and current professionals for the environment. LEP does this through an exchange programme between Senior Managers including Principals of TVET Colleges in South Africa and UK. Through this programme, leaders will be empowered to be more critical, and innovative around the holistic management and future development of their institutions. It further acknowledges that, although South Africa has made great strides in promoting gender equality, there is still more work to be done at the Senior Management level.

The Boxer Youth Leadership Programme has been over the years hosted by founder, Boxer, and in recent years, in association with financial service provider Nedbank.
Freedom Stationery joins forces with Boxer and Nedbank to make the thirteenth year of The Boxer Youth Leadership Programme bigger and better. The exchange programme aligns with existing policies, strategies and initiatives led by the Department for Higher Education and Training (DHET) speaking specifically to commitment eight of the National Skills Accord.
In view of this, the exchange programme seeks to attract females in leadership; over and above the existing leadership structures in TVET Colleges.
