Dear friends,
Welcome to Spring! Resurrection, new life, warmer days ahead and baseball! Go Mariners! :)
God has never ceased being at work among us, but it is good when we have seasons when we get to begin to see the fruit of that work, and we are hearing and seeing that in the churches in our region! Lives being changed, growth, youth ministries growing, leaders being developed and more! But if you're in a tough season, please let me know so we can support and pray for you. Don't isolate and don't be discouraged. Seasons, like Winter and Spring come and go. Some seem to last longer than others, but every season has purpose!
Pastors, don't forget to renew your credentials by March 31 and lead pastors get that tracking report in.

Join us as we elect a new Open Bible President, get encouraged and inspired and informed, and build relationships with our Open Bible family!

Pastors, if you or your church delegates are unable to attend convention, you will have an opportunity to vote by mail. You will receive forms and instructions from the national office for absentee ballot requests, and then they will need to be received at the national office by May 1st.

Pastor's Learning Communities are groups of 5-6 pastors (or pastor couples) who gather once a week for 6 weeks to discuss a book together. This is for lead pastors, staff pastors & spouses. New groups will launch again beginning the week of April 25. The book we are reading together is "The Five Dysfunctions of a Team" by Patrick Lencioni. It is an excellent book that reads like a fable and helps us understand common challenges in team-based leadership and how to overcome them. Sign ups will be available soon at:

LEAD PASTOR & SPOUSE RETREATS
Save the Date!!!
This fall we are inviting all lead pastors & spouses to gather for a time of connection and inspiration!
Three dates and three stunning locations:
- California: Location TBD (either Santa Barbara or Santa Maria), Sept. 29-30
- Oregon: Brasada Ranch in Powell Butte, October 6-7
- Washington: Campbells Resort at Lake Chelan, October 13-14
All expenses will  be covered by the districts & region except for travel expenses to the retreat - and our hope is that your church will cover that expense as an investment in you as a pastor! You will also have the option of coming in early or staying later (at your own expense) if you so choose. Save the date!

 We are approaching 100 years of ministry training in Open Bible. As we approach that landmark in 2025, we are establishing an endowed scholarship fund that will help us train ministry leaders for generations to come! We have been working behind the scenes and were originally looking for 20 charter donors to raise the first $100,000 and we have already secured 19 of those! God is at work! - Employee Retention Credit (ERC) - Pastors, your church may be eligible for a financial credit if you meet certain criteria experienced during the pandemic. Find more information HERE
- Credential renewal time is upon us and you should have received communication from the national office - don't forget to renew! Lead Pastors, be sure to submit those tracking reports.
- Church Health Metrics - what is a healthy church? We have put together a document HERE that lines out what we believe are metrics of a healthy church. If you want coaching to help get there, please let us know!
