Welcome to the 3rd edition of the Moosletter. We have been very busy talking to industry and farmers alike in the first three months of this year as interest in producing climate-friendly beef and dairy continues at a pace.

DANISH LIVESTOCK CONGRESS / KVÆGKONGRES 2018
HERNING, DENMARK – The Danish Cattle Congress is the largest event of the cattle industry in Denmark. It hosts more than 2,400 people of which half are farmers. Mootral used this event to launch to dairy farmers in Denmark. A key element of the launch was a presentation done by the University of Copenhagen on the latest scientific research done on Mootral which showed a 58% reduction in methane emissions.

MUNICH, GERMANY – Mootral presented its concept of “climate-friendly milk and dairy products” to a highly engaged audience. With consumers increasingly choosing products that are less damaging to the environment- milk and dairy products produced from cows fed with Mootral have a clear advantage.

8TH ANNUAL SUSTAINABLE FOOD AND FARM CONFERENCE
GRASS VALLEY, USA – Mootral sponsored the 8th Annual Sustainable Food & Farm Conference, an event designed specifically to showcase new innovations to help the farming industry to become more sustainable. UC Davis, one of the universities Mootral partners with to further develop the science and technology behind the product, shared our booth at the conference.

DAIRYTECH UK
COVENTRY, UK – Mootral showcased its new innovative feed supplement to dairy farmers in the UK. This was the first exhibition in the UK designed to bring all the latest innovations- in science, technology and supply chain- under one roof. Many farmers visited the stand and saw a number of ways that “climate-friendly milk” from cows where methane reduction has been cut by at least 30% coupled with an increase in yield of up to 4% could bring much needed new revenue opportunities for dairy farmers in a post-Brexit UK.

2018 CATTLE INDUSTRY CONVENTION & NCBA TRADE SHOW
PHOENIX, USA – This convention is one of the biggest gatherings of cattlemen in the US, and it’s the venue chosen to set public policy in cattle farming for the coming year. The cattlemen were really interested in the idea of being able to give US consumers the beef they love but from a “Climate-Friendly Cow”.
