I am an independent videogames creator, born and living in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I learned the basics of programming on a Commodore 64. Since I could not read english, I just tried the computer commands I found in the manual and tried to figure out what they did. I managed to make a few games that I played with my friends, although I never figured out how to save them so I typed them, played the game and turned off the computer where the program was lost forever.
Later on I studied Computer Science in the University of Buenos Aires, and I always tried to sneak in some graphics or games programming on the courses. I left a year before I could get a degree to work full time.
Worked as a programmer in Core Security Technologies designing and implemeting user interfaces for information security products.
Later on I founded a tiny, two person mobile game development studio before smartphones but we never found a way to have a reliable income and closed it six months afterwards.
I was technical lead of the Buenos Aires Gameloft studio, where I was in charge of leading 120 programmers where we ported hundreds of games to hundreds of regional phones. I have many stories about this time.
In 2008 I decided to quit and become an independent developer full time. In my first two years I created two games that had an impact on the industry (and my career): I Wish I Were the Moon and Today I Die.
I became co-chair of the Experimental Gameplay Workshop, in the prestigious Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, California, until 2020.
In 2012 I developed a prototype of a story game that won the Nuovo Award at the Independent Games Festival, something I dreamed of for a decade. That game was Storyeller and it took 15 years to complete.
In 2023 I released Storyteller, along with Jeremias Babini and Zypce, that did amazing both commercially and in reception. In 2023 it was the most downloaded videogame on Netflix.
