We will never get to grips with our weight if we starve ourselves or just try to use willpower to eat less modern, processed food. Instead, we need to eat in a way that reduces our calorie intake but also boosts our health and allows us to become full, so we don’t have to rely on willpower to constantly fend off hunger pangs ( which, as we know, will always win out in the end!). We may well lose weight in the short term but we are unable to stick to the diet for very long before the wheels come off! It’s just too hard to stick to healthy, whole food if you have a package of Chips Ahoy in your cupboard. In the 2 days before my race I actually got bored from eating so much but the results were I felt nice and strong in the race and zero injuries afterward.
