Notice is hereby given that the Mayor of Longboat Key has called a Special Meeting on Monday, June 19, 2017, immediately following conclusion of the Regular Workshop Meeting in the Commission Chamber located at 501 Bay Isles Road, Longboat Key, Florida, for the purpose of discussing the following item:

 

  Public to be Heard:  No items were presented.

1.  Opportunity for Public to Address Town Commission

At each meeting the Town Commission sets aside a time for the public to address issues that are not on the agenda.

 

Ordinances – Second Reading and Public Hearing

  2.   Ordinance 2017-12, Amending Chapter 58, Undergrounding of Utilities:  Adopted

Recent legislation in the Florida Legislature related to installation of Utility Facilities within rights-of-way prompted a reexamination of Chapter 58, Undergrounding of Utilities.  Ordinance 2017-12 includes revisions to Chapter 58 to resolve certain potential issues between the State Legislation and the Town’s existing Code.  The Ordinance also revises the penalty for noncompliance with the Chapter.  This item was forwarded from the June 5, 2017 Regular Meeting for second reading and public hearing.  Recommended Action: Pending second reading, public hearing, and discussion, adopt Ordinance 2017-12.

 

  3.   Other Business

 

A.  Town Commission:  June 26, 2017, Special Meeting canceled.

At the June 19, 2017, Special Workshop, the Commission discussed the Special Meeting scheduled for June 26, 2017.
